A free pictorial seminar following in the footsteps of the Protestant Reformers will be held in Raymond Terrace on Saturdays, July 10 & 17.  Presenter Russel Stanley is a church historian with a passion for the Reformation era.  The seminars will be held in the Uniting Church, William Street, Raymond Terrace, commencing at 11am and 1:30pm both days, with a light lunch provided.  Handouts and other resources will be available.  These free programs are sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and everyone is welcome to attend.

Eternal Impact is the Newcastle Baptist Tabernacle’s annual outreach Festival. Come and hear Barry Cosper and Shane and April Dye, also known as “Remnant” on Sunday 11th July at 10.30am and 7pm. They will also be performing on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th July at 7pm.The church is located across from Civic park and alongside of the Newcastle Cultural Centre and City Library.

 Mainly music is a music program for carers and children with a great morning tea and chat time after. Its held 10am Wednesdays during school terms at Unit 7, number 2 O'Hart Close, Charmhaven. “Not For sale” is a full day and evening seminar by YWAM, to show you to be a part of abolishing Slavery in this lifetime. Not For Sale equips and mobilizes Smart activists to deploy innovative solutions to re-abolish slavery in their own backyards and across the globe through their “Stop paying for slavery” tour. Australian Idol contestant, Tim Johnson will be performing. The seminar will be held at Compassion Headquarters, Warabrook on Saturday 17th July from 9am to 5pm and the evening event from 7 – 9pm.

A Jumble Sale will be held in the St John’s Presbyterian Church Hall, on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th July from 8.30am to 2.30pm.The church is located on Corner of Hanbury and Macquarie Streets Mayfield.

One Accord Family Vocal Trio will be performing at Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cooranbong on Saturday Night 17th July at 7pm. There will be a line up of other artists performing also on the night and an offering will be taken to support One Accord and also raise money for a Church evangelistic mission trip to Kenya. Once again that's One Accord at Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church on July 17th at 7pm.

The Movie “Bonhoeffer – Agent of Grace” will be screened at Wallsend Presbyterian Church on Saturday 17th July starting 7pm.The film is about standing up against evil, and being willing to die for true faith. The church is located at 144 Nelson Street, Wallsend. Supper will be provided.

Aglow is an inter-denominational meeting where God’s presence ministers to the hearts of women from all walks of life. Newcastle Night Aglow’s next meeting is Monday 19th July, from 7pm in the Toohey room of the Newcastle Diocese, 841 Hunter Street Newcastle West.  Friends of Palliative care is holding their annual walk-a-thon and Country fun run on Sunday 11th July within the grounds of CB Alexander College, Tocal, starting 8.30am.Entry is $5 for the walk and $15 for the run, Children 15 and under $5. You can choose between the 5km and 10km distances.There will be Trophies to be won plus stalls and refreshments available.Entry forms are available in advance or enter on the day. Kurri Kurri Congregational Church presents Adventure Time 2010 these school holidays from 5th to 9th July. The theme is called Showstoppers and promises to be a week of great fun for Boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years.There will be games, creative teaching, songs, prayers, competitions and craft as the children learn about God’s great plan of salvation. Newcastle Baptist church is holding a Kids Club for 5 to 12 year olds from Monday 12 to Friday 16th July, from 9 am to 12 noon each day on the lower level of the church Cnr Laman and Dawson Sts. The theme this year is the 'Wild west' with singing, games, stories, craft, fun and morning tea for all who attend. Cost $3 per child per day (or attend 4 days and get 5th day free). A parent or legal guardian needs to accompany children on their first day of attendance to complete a registration form.
